Congratulations to Henry Bernat and Lenny Sikorski who were Corpus Christi Church’s recipients of the Lay Award of St. Joseph the Worker 2018. This award is given by the Diocese of Buffalo to those who have shown their devotion and unselfish labors on behalf of Father Michał Czyżewski and Corpus Christi Church. The award celebration took place at a Mass in St. Joseph Cathedral ( Sunday March 11, 2018).

Last fall the roof over the pews on the south side of the Church and over the altar of Our Lady of Czestochowa was repaired. Masonry work along the sandstone wall of the Church was also overhauled. That meant the restoration work on the inside could begin.
Early in February the Swiatek Studios, Inc. began raising scaffolding, first at the Altar of Czestochowa, then in the choir loft, and finally over the center pews. The skilled restorationists began repairing and strengthening the plaster, coordinating colors that matched the existing back round, and creating stencils that mimic the masterful work that already adorn the walls.
The workmanship is unsurpassed. The Swiatek Studios brought artists who have used their talents all over the country here to Corpus Christi. We would like to thank the gifted artists for the using their time and gifts here at Corpus Christi.
We would also like to thank those that called or sent Emails because of their concern for the beauty of our Church. Everyone is looking forward to Holy Week when everyone can marvel at their completed project.
