Buffalo, New York – The Solemnity of Corpus Christi will be celebrated on Sunday June 26, with a Holy Mass in Polish and English at 11:30a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, located at 199 Clark St. in Buffalo. A traditional outdoor Procession with the Blessed Sacrament to four altars will follow immediately afterward.
A spaghetti dinner will also be held that day from 12:30p.m. – 4:30p.m. in the Sears St. Hall, located across from the church parking lot. Tickets are available after all Masses and at the rectory during normal business hours. Presale prices are $8 for adults and $6 for children under 12. Tickets at the door are $10 for adults and $8 for children. There will be raffles and 50/50 split drawings.
The Feast of Corpus Christi, which dates to the 13th Century, celebrates the institution of the Sacrament of Holy Communion at the Last Supper.
Leading up to the Solemnity of Corpus Christi is Forty Hours of Adoration of the Holy Eucharist, which will be held between 7:00p.m. Friday June 24 and 11:00a.m. on Sunday June 26 in the main church. All are invited to sign up for an hour of adoration and to join in the Corpus Christi devotions.
