****CANCELED**** Blessing of Easter Food on the East Side of Buffalo

Posted by admin on 03/30/2020

As we approach Holy Week and Easter and continue our fight against the Coronavirus, we recognize the importance of maintaining our spiritual growth and traditions. As restaurants, grocery stores, and pharmacies offer carry-out and drive-by services, Corpus Christi and St. Stanislaus Churches would like to offer a drive-by Easter Basket blessing and distribution of Palms on Holy Saturday, April 11. This, of course, is a non-traditional approach but it is a way of bringing some normalcy to our lives in a safe and acceptable manner.

The blessing of Easter Baskets and distribution of Palms will begin at Corpus Christi Church at 11:00 am. – 11: 45 am. Cars should assemble in the church parking lot for a brief prayer. Following this blessing, the cars will proceed down Sears to Kent and stop in front of the church to receive a palm and personal blessing. Cars will then exit down Clark Street.

At 1:00 pm – 1:45 pm, the blessing of Easter Baskets and distribution of Palms will take place at St. Stanislaus Church. Cars should assemble in the church parking lot for a brief prayer. Following the blessing, the cars should exit the parking lot on Wilson, proceed down Paderewski to Townsend and stop in front of the church to receive a palm and a personal blessing. Cars will then exit down Peckham Street.

Father Michał Czyżewski and Father Jan Kolmaga are offering this opportunity while maintaining safe distancing practices as outlined by the CDC.

Easter represents Christ’s victory over death. With prayer, hope, and trust in the Lord, we can see this crisis through and rejoice in His resurrection and life anew. While neither facility can offer public Masses, St. Stanislaus maintains its tradition of the Polish radio Mass on Sundays at 12 noon at 101.7 FM.

Important information from the Pauline Fathers in Buffalo, NY regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic

Posted by admin on 03/29/2020

Important information from the Pauline Fathers in Buffalo, NY regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic:

Due to the potential spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and following the guidelines from the Diocese of Buffalo, government and health officials, we have decided to immediately implement the following changes at our Church, until further notice.

All Sunday and Weekday Masses will be canceled. So as decided by the Diocese of Buffalo, there can be no public Masses at our Church. Also in order to avoid large gatherings of people, there will be no confessions on Saturday.

Unfortunately due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic our ministry and community are limited to some extent. However, we believe that God always provides!

In this situation, we can really learn how to trust Him and in the moments when we feel powerless or overcome by sickness, fear, and anxiety we can surrender to Him.
He is the source of our hope and of the Good News that always touches our hearts.

Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. (Isaiah 43:1-2)

That’s why as a religious community of Pauline Fathers & Brothers we would like to offer our prayers for your intentions. Every day during Midday prayers in our Monastic Chapel, we will present to the Lord your personal intentions, which you send to us.
