As we all know, churches are closed. There are no public masses, no parish celebrations, but find comfort in knowing your shepherds, your pastors, and your priests pray for you. They ask God for an end to the Covid 19 pandemic, and continue to pray for all people who are sick. We pray for doctors, nurses, and civil leaders. Although some people may have become used to closed churches, for many priests, organists, parishioners and friends of local churches it is a very difficult and demanding time. We all hope that this situation will end and we can return to normal life. Spring is coming, new life outside is blooming; more and more we can hear the melodies of birds throughout our neighborhoods. Our parishioners like to help in many ways. I would like to share with you a beautiful example. On this occasion I would like to say thank you to Philip Woloszyn, from Corpus Christi Church for his beautiful art work. One week ago I showed Philip a statue of St. Francis, in not so good condition: paint defects were visible and the figure was worn and damaged. After his work and artistic talent we can show the “new” beautiful statue of St. Francis again to the world. This was one of the projects that Woloszyn has completed for the Church. Personally, for me, this is an amazing sign that normal life is coming back.
