Corpus Christi Church will host Hawaiian Luau on Oct. 24
Corpus Christi Church will host a Hawaiian Luau on Sunday, October 24. All are welcome to attend the 11:30a.m. Mass, followed by the luau festivities which begin at 1:00p.m. and continue until 9:00p.m.
This family-friendly event will feature a pig roast and Hawaiian chicken buffet from 1:00p.m. – 4:00p.m., and a Tiki cash bar. A Hawaiian casino, Hawaiian music and entertainment, a raffle and theme baskets will also be offered.
Admission is just $10 per person and includes one raffle ticket for a queen size Amish quilt. Tickets are on sale after all Sunday Masses, or at the Parish Office, 896-1050. Free, off-street parking is available.
Come dressed in your favorite Hawaiian shirt (or not) and be ready to have a great time.
All proceeds help to preserve Corpus Christi Church, a landmark on the State and National Registers of Historic Places.

“Defy Diabetes” Program @ Corpus Christi
Niagara University nurses, in conjunction with the Parish Nurse Ministries of New York, Inc., have launched a six week educational seminar intended to heighten public awareness and discussion of a person’s lifestyle management of diabetes. This free pilot program, titled DEFY DIABETES, is being held at Corpus Christi Church in Buffalo. The next seminar will be scheduled in November based upon interest expressed by the community. The DEFY DIABETES educational outreach program is based on the significant number of Americans living with or at risk for developing diabetes. This program is made possible through a grant from the New York State Health Foundation to the Institute for Leadership in New York City who is rolling out the project.
