CORPUS CHRISTI CHURCH TO HOST ST. PATRICK’S DAY DINNER

Corpus Christi parish will be hosting a dinner in honor of St. Patrick on Sunday, March 11 from 12:00pm – 4:00pm.  The dinner will take place at the Sears Street Hall, located at 165 Sears St. (adjacent to Corpus Christi Church) in Buffalo.  The corned beef and cabbage dinner, which will be prepared by Chef John, includes coffee, tea and dessert. Dine-in and take-out will be available.

Presale tickets, which are available in the rectory, are $10 for adults and $8 for children age 12 and under. Tickets may also be purchased at the door at $12 for adults and $10 for children.

All proceeds, including raffles and 50/50 splits, will help support parish operations.

This family event is an opportunity for the Western New York community to meet the new pastoral team at Corpus Christi. For additional information, call 716/896-1050 or visit the parish website at www.CorpusChristiBuffalo.org.  All are welcome to attend.

Corpus Christi Welcomes Father Mark Kreis

It is with great happiness that we would like to introduce to our Parishioners Father Mark Kreis. (cries) He’s a very gentle soul who is here to help and renew all of us. Please Welcome Father.

Father Mark Kreis, PH.D. was born on April 16, 1956 in Krosno/ Poland. He was ordained on May 23, 1987 in Czestochowa/ Poland. Fr. Mark came to the USA on September 27, 1991 from Germany, where he had worked for three years as an associate pastor. From 1991 thru 1999, he served in the Archdiocese of Chicago. In October 1999, Fr. Mark began his studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and at the Biblicum in Rome where, in 2003, he accomplished his licentiate degree in Biblical exegesis. Upon returning to the USA in 2003, Fr. Mark worked for the Rockford Diocese till 2007. In 2007, he resumed his Biblical studies at the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow/ Poland. In 2008, he was transferred to Kittanning, PA. In 2010, Fr. Mark received his doctorate in Biblical theology at the aforementioned university in Krakow. Now he begins his ministry at Corpus Christi in Buffalo.
