Ludowa Nuta @ Corpus Christi Church – 12/01/2013

Ludowa Nuta Choir will sing at the 11:30AM Mass on Sunday, December 1st. This folk chorus from southern Ontario, formed just eight years ago, has already made a reputation for itself and become a favorite not only in Canada, but also in the United States and Poland.
The one and only goal of Ludowa Nuta, as their director Vick Dudalski explains, is to promote Polish folk music Their colorful, traditional costumes are all made in Poland and their repertoire comprises songs from various regions of Poland. The chorus is accompanied by a typical Góralska Kapela which includes violins, double bass, koza and trombity.
On December 1st the choir will feature liturgical (Advent) music at the Mass and a Kolendowanie concert, a lovely medley of pastoralki from Żywiec, Spisz and Beskid Śląski regions of Poland. Join them for a pre-Christmas concert which will take the place of the Advent calendars of our youth in anticipation of the coming of our Lord.
Canisius College Chorale to Perform at Corpus Christi Church

The Canisius College Chorale will be performing at Corpus Christi Church as part of the In the Light Concert Series on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at 5:00pm.
The Canisius College Chorale is one of the most active collegiate choirs in Western New York. The 120-voice Chorale, under the direction of Frank Scinta, performs concerts throughout the year. The chorale has grown immensely over the last twelve years – both in size and quality – to become Western New York’s premier collegiate choir. The members’ talent, dedication and love for singing have been evident in each moment of performance and with every measure of the score. The Chorale’s frequently sold-out concerts remain a testament to the group’s professionalism and its role as a musical force both on campus and within the wider community of Buffalo and Western New York. The concert at Corpus Christi Church is part their fall Sacred Spaces series.
The concert is free and open to the public.
Corpus Christi Church is located at 199 Clark St. in Buffalo, New York one block east of the Broadway Market in the heart of East Buffalo’s Historic Polonia.
