NOTE: RESCHEDULED FROM FEB. 15TH

On Sunday March 1st from 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m, Corpus Christi Church will be offering a lunch of homemade Polish soups and other baked goods after every Mass. Proceeds from the lunch will go toward offsetting this winter’s large gas and electric bills. “We are very blessed to have parishioners who know how to make the authentic Polish soups, and Polish-styled baked goods,” said Fr. Mariusz Dymek, Pastor, adding that utility bills for the historic church and parish buildings are projected to cost $60,000 this year.

Menu items will be available on an eat-in or take-out basis. The event will take place in the St. Maximillian Kolbe Center, 188 Clark St. in Buffalo, across the street from Corpus Christi Church. Ample parking is available.

Chruściki (pron. HROOSH-chee-kee) are bow-tie shaped fried pastries

Corpus Christi Church in located on Clark St. in Buffalo, between Broadway and Paderewski Drive, one block east of the Broadway Market. The Church was saved from closure 11 years ago, by the arrival of the Pauline Order of priests from Poland. The Parish Campus is on the National Register of Historic Sites.

Proceeds to help offset the church’s costly winter heating bills.
