We have ended our Lenten journey and have come to the most beautiful, most important day in the liturgical calendar and all of Christianity: the feast of the Resurrection – Easter. We sing a renewed and fervent Alleluia because Jesus conquered sin and death. The penance and purple of the season gives way to celebration and gold. We see flowers again in the church and the smell of incense fills the air. All of this is because He is alive, and not only alive, but actually risen from the dead. This means not only life for Jesus, but life for us! We too are now able to enter heaven, something impossible before the Paschal Mystery was accomplished.
So celebrate, rejoice! Alleluia!
