Blessed Easter and Happy Spring!

My Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Once again we are celebrating the most important feast in the lives of all Christians – the Feast of the Resurrection of Our Lord.

This is the time for us to rejoice in the meaning of the Resurrection – the knowledge that Christ has risen and has promised that we, too, will share in His glorious Resurrection.

In this spirit of faith and hope, we wish you a Holy and Happy Easter.

15th Anniversary of Pope St. John Paul II’s death

On the 15th anniversary of Pope St. John Paul II’s death, the Pauline Fathers privately celebrated Holy Mass in the Church of St. Stanislaus B & M (389 Peckham St, Buffalo, NY 14206), which is the Diocesan Sanctuary of St. John Paul II. After Mass, Father Jan and Father Michał said a breviary prayer in front of the relics of the saint from Wadowice, praying for parishioners, benefactors, sick people and asking for pandemics to cease.

Karol Wojtyła was born on May 20, 1920 in Wadowice, near Krakow, as the second of three children of Karol and Emilia Kaczorowska. He was elected pope by the second assembly of cardinals after the death of John Paul I. Cardinal Wojtyła was elected on the third day of the conclave and took the names of John Paul to honor his predecessor. John Paul II was the first pope outside Italy since the Dutch pope Hadrian VI (1522-1523), and also the second longest-serving pope in modern history after Pope Pius IX (1846-1878). The Polish pope guided the Catholic Church for almost 27 years. Pope John Paul II died on April 2, 2005 at 21:37, he was 84 years old.
