Father Michał Czyżewski, pastor of Corpus Christi Church, located at 199 Clark Street, one block East of the Broadway Market, would like to invite the young people from Western New York to construct their own impression of the Manger. It is Father’s hope that this undertaking might stimulate conversation in their homes about preparation for the Birth of the Christ Child. The only requirements are that the entrants be under the age of 17, that their Manger is able to be move without disturbing the design and the child’s name, and age is visible in front of their creation. Young people are encouraged to bring their construction to the Altar Rail before the 8:15am Mass on Sunday, December 13th. All children who bring in a Manger will receive a reward for participation and creativity. Judging will take place on December 20th at the 11:00 am Mass, with Bishop Richard Malone, Bishop of the Diocese of Buffalo. Winners will be listed in our bulletin which is available on line.
