Corpus Christi Church in Buffalo is on the hunt for the best pierogi in town. They\u2019re hosting the 13th Buffalo\u2019s Best Pierogi contest on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 2:30 pm. It\u2019s open to all you amateur cooks and local businesses.<\/p>\n

This contest is just one part of the church\u2019s 44th Do\u017cynki Polish Harvest Festival happening on October 7 and 8, 2023.<\/p>\n

The event organizer, Christopher Byrd, says it\u2019s all about celebrating Buffalo\u2019s love for food and our city\u2019s diverse cultural heritage. They\u2019ve got some seriously passionate folks competing with their homemade pierogi recipes, and it\u2019s gonna be a great event.<\/p>\n

Since this is the first contest since the Covid-19 pandemic, it\u2019s even more exciting. If you want to enter, head over to the church\u2019s website or call at (716) 218-0232. And mark your calendars because the deadline for entries is September 30, 2023.<\/p>\n

A panel of judges will determine who takes home the coveted title of Buffalo\u2019s Best Pierogi Maker and the golden rolling pin. There are also prizes for second and third place, so you better bring your A-game!<\/p>\n

Corpus Christi Church was established in 1898 and is a key part of Buffalo\u2019s Historic Polonia neighborhood at 199 Clark Street. It\u2019s on the state and national lists of historic sites.<\/p>\n
