Corpus Christi Church is once again looking for Buffalo\u2019s best pierogi. This historic east side church is hosting its 10th annual Buffalo\u2019s Best Pierogi contest on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 4:00 pm. It is open to all amateur cooks and businesses.<\/p>\n
The contest is the centerpiece of Corpus Christi\u2019s Corpus Christi\u2019s 38th annual Do\u017cynki (pronounced Do-ZHIN-kee) Polish Harvest Festival on Friday and Saturday, September 29 and 30 and Sunday, October 1. Christopher Byrd, the contest organizer, says the event \u201ccaptures Buffalo\u2019s love for food while celebrating our city\u2019s rich ethnic heritage with recipes and traditions passed on from one generation to the next. The contest draws people from all over Western New York. Buffalonians have incredible passion for their homemade pierogi.\u201d<\/p>\n
People who wish to enter the contest can online by clicking here<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0or by contacting the rectory at\u00a0(716) 896-1050<\/a>. The deadline for entries is Monday, September 25, 2017.<\/p>\n A group of celebrity judges will determine the winners for the contest. Winners in each category will walk away with the title of Buffalo\u2019s Best Pierogi Maker and awarded the golden rolling pin.<\/p>\n Corpus Christi Church was founded in 1898 and is located in the heart of East Buffalo\u2019s Historic Polonia at 199 Clark Street.
