Corpus Christi Church is once again looking for Buffalo\u2019s best pierogi. This historic east side church is hosting its ninth annual Buffalo\u2019s Best Pierogi contest on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 3:00p.m. Its is open to all amateur cooks and businesses.<\/span><\/del><\/p>\n

The contest is the centerpiece of Corpus Christi\u2019s Corpus Christi\u2019s 37th annual Do\u017cynki (pronounced Do-ZHIN-kee) Polish Harvest Festival on Saturday and Sunday, September 24 and 25. Christopher Byrd, the contest organizer, says the event \u201ccaptures Buffalo\u2019s love for food and while celebrating our city\u2019s rich ethnic heritage with recipes and traditions passed on from one generation to the next. The contest draws people from all of Western New York. Buffalonians have incredible passion for their homemade pierogi.\u201d<\/span><\/del><\/p>\n

A group of celebrity judges will determine the winners for the contest. Winners in each category will walk away with the title of Buffalo\u2019s Best Pierogi Maker.<\/span><\/del><\/p>\n

Corpus Christi Church was founded in 1898 and is located in the heart of East Buffalo\u2019s Historic Polonia. It is on the state and national lists of historic sites.<\/span><\/del><\/p>\n
