Buffalo, New York – The Solemnity of Corpus Christi will be celebrated on Sunday June 26, with a Holy Mass in Polish and English at 11:30a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, located at 199 Clark St. in Buffalo. A traditional outdoor Procession with the Blessed Sacrament to four altars will follow immediately afterward.<\/p>\n
A spaghetti dinner will also be held that day from 12:30p.m. \u2013 4:30p.m. in the Sears St. Hall, located across from the church parking lot. Tickets are available after all Masses and at the rectory during normal business hours. Presale prices are $8 for adults and $6 for children under 12. Tickets at the door are $10 for adults and $8 for children. There will be raffles and 50\/50 split drawings.<\/p>\n
The Feast of Corpus Christi, which dates to the 13th Century, celebrates the institution of the Sacrament of Holy Communion at the Last Supper.<\/p>\n
Leading up to the Solemnity of Corpus Christi is Forty Hours of Adoration of the Holy Eucharist, which will be held between 7:00p.m. Friday June 24 and 11:00a.m. on Sunday June 26 in the main church. All are invited to sign up for an hour of adoration and to join in the Corpus Christi devotions.<\/p>\n
