Second Sunday of Easter in the Roman Catholic Church celebrates Divine Mercy Sunday. On April 19, 2020 in Corpus Christi Church in the front of altar who was dedicated to Divine Mercy, parishioners pray and offer prayers to end of pandemic. Saint Pope John Paul II instituted Divine Mercy Sunday on the occasion of the canonization of St. Faustina, April 30, 2000. Faustyna Kowalska (1905–1938), was a Polish Roman Catholic nun and mystic. Her apparitions of Jesus Christ inspired the Roman Catholic devotion to the Divine Mercy and earned her the title of “Secretary of Divine Mercy”.
