Painting a Picture of Corpus Christi Part III

This is the third update on a painting being done of Corpus Christi Church by artist Lisa Wiertel…

From Lisa Wiertel’s blog:

“Still chugging along on it.  As you can see I am jumping around while working on it.  Some evenings it’s easier to work on all the details than other nights.  I’m still not done with the sky either.  I seem to work on it a little each time I paint.  Hope everyone likes the progress.”

CORPUS CHRISTI TO OFFER NOVENA TO THE HOLY SPIRIT

hs

Buffalo, New York – Corpus Christi Church will be offering nine days of prayers to the Holy Spirit, beginning on Friday May 22 after the 11:30 a.m. Mass. Known as a novena in the Catholic faith, this series of devotions is a special form of prayer, generally for a particular intention.

The novena in honor of the Holy Spirit is the oldest of all novenas, since it was first made at the direction of our Lord Himself when He sent His apostles back to Jerusalem to await the coming of the Holy Spirit on the first Pentecost. It is still the only novena officially prescribed by the Roman Catholic Church. Addressed to the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity, it is a powerful plea for the light, strength and love so sorely needed by every Christian.

All are invited to join in this constant prayer! For additional information, call (716)896-1050 or visit the website at www.corpuschristibuffalo.org.
